Monday Range — High / Low Fill
Monday's RTH high and low frame the trading week. Tue–Fri sessions tend to retest one or both extremes, with sweeps at those levels often setting up reversals.
updated 2026-04-28The setup
Monday’s RTH high and low set the weekly framing range. Roughly 70% of weeks tag at least one of those extremes between Tue and Fri, and sweeps that close back inside the range often mark the week’s pivot point.
Line ships on our chart HUD as MON HIGH FILL / MON LOW FILL from Tuesday through Friday.
Entry rules
- Snapshot: lock in Monday’s RTH high & low at 16:00 ET Monday
- Active window: Tue 09:30 → Fri 16:00 ET
- Proximity gate:
|price − level| < 6 × ATR14 - Direction: MON HIGH = bull touch; MON LOW = bear touch
- Sweep play (optional): if price breaks Mon High then closes back inside on the next bar → reversal short toward Mon Low
Stats by week-day
| Day | First-touch rate (either extreme) |
|---|---|
| Tuesday | 38% |
| Wednesday | 24% |
| Thursday | 19% |
| Friday | 9% |
Most of the touch action concentrates Tue/Wed; by Friday the levels have lost urgency.
Why Tier 2
Reliable weekly framing, but the touch is the easy part — the harder question is whether a sweep is a reversal or a breakout. Best used as a magnet target when an independent signal points toward one of the levels.
